Rescue and Emergency Care (REC)

Rescue Emergency Care (REC) is a well known and respected first aid training organisation founded in the mid 1980s by Dr Robert Phillips while working in remote healthcare and adventure rescue services. REC was set up to provide a comprehensive and flexible training programme that extends the competency of the participants. This unique style of first aid training has been delivered by REC trainers throughout the UK and Europe for over 20 years.

Môn Active has been delivering REC courses for a number of years. Our courses are predominantly delivered by Môn Active director, Richard Griffiths Hughes. Rich has been delivering first aid training for over 10 years in a range of sectors including pool and beach lifeguarding, First Aid at Work, Rescue and Emergency Care and more recently as the First Aid training lead for Môn-SAR, a newly-formed Lowland Rescue team based on Anglesey. Rich, as with any of our first aid trainers, has lots of practical experience of administering first aid in a range of settings and environments so is not just ‘teaching from a book’. Book now on any of our courses with confidence that your trainer is a skilled, experienced and knowledgeable first-aider and trainer.
